I dreamed of playing golf with an ostrich
What shall I do during my sleeping? Nobody told me that I should dream. However, I could help do it. I love animals, so I even dreamed of playing golf with an ostrich last night.
When I walked down town, I found myself in an ostrich farm. To be frank, the trip was not so desirable for I have to walk such a long distance.
My tip had come from a little blue book passed down from the previous teachers at the school where I studied in Zhengzhou. There was not much by way of tourist information there, but on the list of the city’s attractions, the ostrich farm ranked No 2 and cost 40 Yuan ($6.15).
I walked along a small road until a white wall, adorned with dinosaurs, popped up. As soon as I approached near, hawkers hastened toward me with their wares: plush ostrich dolls, neon bright ostrich feather boas and, of course, etched ostrich egg shells. I didn’t dare ask the price.
Yet surprisingly, the place was a full show, even if it lacked people. There were Bumper Karts, duck boating, “grass skiing, a rock-climbing wall, ATV riding, “, as well as a zip line. But I was there for the ostriches.
I started by feeding them. I pulled up to the dirt pen in a golf cart. Guess what? There were a lot of ostriches playing golf. I opened my eyes as wide as possible, but my dream still made me believe that the scene I was looking at is true. And even more astonishing thing is that all the ostriches can speak.
A big ostrich came to me and asked me what he can help me. My first instinct, or more correct, desire was to let him carry me on the back and give me a flight. The ostrich agreed. He head down so that I can climb to his back and when I was prepared he gave me a ride. We flew all over the mountain and enjoyed the views very much.
On the way we talked to each other. I asked whether he could Play Golf. He said of course. I discovered that he is a golf fan, just like me. Then our talk heated. After a while, we decided to go back and play some rounds.
I had guessed what he will use to kick the ball. I cannot give an answer. In front of me, he kicked the ball with his wing. If fact, he is not kicking the ball, but fanning the ball to the right place. He was so naughty that when it was my turn to kick the ball, he would fan his big wing beside me so I never got the chance to kick in.
I got so furious that I was about to quarrel with him. But suddenly I woke up.
